A.V. Marugin (12/29/1960) graduated from the Faculty of Radiophysics with a degree in Radiophysics and Electronics in 1982 with the qualification of a radiophysicist. In 1996 he defended his Ph.D. thesis in the specialty 01.04.03 "Radiophysics", the topic of the thesis was "Investigation of the spectral and fluctuation characteristics of the radiation of injection lasers under conditions of external feedback." Since 1982 works at the Department of Quantum Radiophysics and Electronics (before reorganization - at the Department of Quantum Radiophysics), since 1999 - as an assistant professor.

Research interests include modeling semiconductor lasers and studying their emission characteristics, as well as analyzing the dynamic and stochastic parameters of semiconductor light-emitting structures.
