Graduated from the Physics Department of the Gorky State University named after N.I. Lobachevsky with a degree in Electronic Engineering in 1986. From 1962 to 1968 he worked as a mechanic at the Department of Physics of Dielectrics and Semiconductors at GSU. In 1968 he was transferred to NIFTI as a senior researcher. In 1978 he defended his Ph.D. thesis on "Electrophysical properties of super-multilayer dielectric films". In 1986 he was awarded the academic title of senior scientific worker in the specialty "Solid State Physics". Areas of basic research interests: physics and technology of thin dielectric films.
